The small historical town in the Austrian Alps tells many an exciting story, for example, about its famous son Paul Hofhaimer, who proved his great talent as court organist of Emperor Maximilian in Innsbruck and is considered the greatest composer and organist of his time. The historical treasures, such as the mighty city wall with its round towers, the late Romanesque city parish church and the Gothic light column bear witness to Radstadt’s eventful past. Today the town situated in Pongau in Salzburg is a successful mix between history, culture and nature and is thus a worthwhile holiday destination for both summer and winter guests. The numerous, well-preserved traditions and cultural events are a real guest magnet.
